Chesnok Red is an heirloom hardneck garlic known for its rich, sweet flavor and striking purple-striped bulbs. A favorite for roasting and baking, it becomes creamy and complex when cooked, and has a balanced heat when enjoyed raw.
Organically grown and selected for strong germination, this hardy variety performs well in cold climates and produces 8–12 easy-to-peel cloves per bulb. It also yields flavorful garlic scapes and stores well for a hardneck type.
